A specialist dental lab that barely had a social media presence. Now it has one.

Client: Bestwoods. Finest Orthodontist

Sector: Dental laboratory (B2B)

Size: 3 people

Location: East Midlands

The situation

Bestwoods makes orthodontic appliances for dental practices across the region. The work is skilled, the client relationships are strong, and the business has been ticking along for years. What it hadn't done was show up online.

LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile: all either missing or dormant. Not because anyone objected to social media in principle, just because it had never seemed relevant. The honest truth is that the owner wasn't convinced AI had anything useful to offer a three-person dental lab either.

That's exactly the kind of client we work best with.

What we did

Social media presence, built from scratch

We established Bestwoods' profiles across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, and brought their Google Business Profile up to date. Each platform was set up properly: consistent branding, accurate business information, a clear description of what Bestwoods actually does and who it does it for.

The goal wasn't to go viral. It was to give Bestwoods a credible, professional presence that dental practices could find, and that could support marketing and business development over time.

Barely Social: a content tool that fits how they work

Once the profiles were in place, we gave Bestwoods access to Barely Social, our own social media planning and tracking app built for small businesses.

Barely Social lets a small team plan posts, draft copy with AI assistance, organise campaigns, and track what's actually working, without needing a marketing department or a steep learning curve. Posts are drafted and finished inside the app, then copied across to each platform manually. Simple, practical, and sized for a business with three people and a full-time job.

Bestwoods can now build a posting schedule, create content tailored to LinkedIn or Instagram without starting from scratch each time, and keep track of what they've sent and when.

The Posts board Bestwoods now uses to plan and track everything, from first idea through to posted.

BAT-001: Intro to AI

We ran Bestwoods' team through BAT-001, Barely Artificial's introductory AI training course. The course covers what AI actually is (minus the hype), how it works in plain English, and where it can genuinely save time and effort in a small business context.

For a team that started out sceptical, that's the right place to begin. Not a deep technical session. Just enough to make AI feel approachable and to open up the conversation about where it could actually help.

The result

Bestwoods went from having almost no social media presence to having properly established profiles on the platforms that matter for their market. They've got a tool to manage their content without it becoming a part-time job, and a team that understands what AI can and can't do.

A solid foundation. Built to last.
